Spring in my step

Today has started off rather early, especially for me. I am what many would consider a night owl, I have been for a long time (this may have stemmed from the fact that in order to have some alone time it was necessary to stay up later than everyone else.) I was up by the time my husband’s first alarm went off work (read 5:30 am) and have been up ever since. The weather has been incredibly nice here, and as such I have had the windows open enjoying the warm breeze (never mind the fact that we are supposed to get rain soon.) It finally feels like spring, (okay technically spring isn’t until later this month, but the feeling of spring is here.) This is the first time that I can remember actually being excited for spring. I have always been a fan of autumn and while spring is the natural counterpart, I haven’t ever been excited about it. I can’t quite put my finger on the reason, but there is just something about it this year.

In other news, I have ordered a spinning wheel. Hopefully it will be here sooner rather than later. Updates with pictures to follow.
