Counting Stitches of a Different Kind
It would appear the desire to craft is still quite present although the method may change depending on the level of energy and pain (or lack there of.) The latest crafty adventure has been occupying my time at the moment.
A wonderful little pattern from the lovely ladies at the Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery. The stitching on this is slow going to be sure (and the weird orange line is not present on the actual cross stitch, so yay for wonky photo skills?)
I have managed to stitch a little bit of the branch for the wee owl, but I might omit the candy bits simply because I like the little couple.
I did make a slight modification to the pattern (which is amazingly easy and wonderful even for a beginner like me) the Lady Frankenstein’s monster was originally in a long white dress, I shortened it by a couple of stitches and changed it to purple, because I wanted to. I also changed the pant color on Mister Frankenstein’s monster, because I didn’t have the original color.
Like I said this pattern is great for a beginner, and I can definitely see me picking up more of their patterns in the future.
How’s your crafting going? Have you branched out lately? Any tips or tricks from those of you who have done cross stitch before?
Until next time.
I particularly like how they conveyed the shape of the lady’s beehive.
The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery will get you. 😉
This is too cute.
