adjective & adverb:

(of a person) without purpose or guidance; lost and confused.

I would say that pretty much sums up that last few weeks here at the home of the Introverted Knitter, although in interest of being honest it’s probably been quite a bit longer.

As some of you may have noticed it’s be rather quiet around here, both on posts and updates to the word count. As it stands I realized early this last week that this is one competition I am going to have bow out of. To have come so far and then quit may seem an odd choice and I will admit it has taken something significant to get to this point.

Earlier this week the Giant received very exciting and wonderful news in the form of a new and exciting job, one that will afford him opportunties for growth and experiences  for many years to come.

Now you may be wondering just why would the Giant’s well deserved new job be enough to explain the blog absence and the bowing out of NaNoWriMo, well there is one little detail about the job I forgot to mention. It requires relocation to the Pacific Northwest. So your IntroveretedKnitter and the Giant along with our three cats will be heading that way in just under a month.

This will be our seventh move and fourth bigger move (not within the same city kind of thing) it will actually be our biggest by far and while we are getting a lot of help along the way, everything will likely be in a state of flux for awhile. I do hope to come back to blogging regularly, and perhaps new surroundings will help me achieve that. Anyway I just thought I would let you know that things are changing and it might be a while between posts for now.

I hope you are all having a wonderful summer and are able to tolerate some of the outrageous heat waves.

Until next time.

  1. This is amazing news! I hope you’re excited and looking forward to it. 🙂

  2. Congrats & good luck with the move!

  3. We have some good shops here. Hope you enjoy yourself! I love the PNW

  4. Best part of the move, besides Thomas maybe liking his job again finally and you being in the same city as your awesome BFF- no heat wave in the PNW! (Not gonna lie, it’s warmer than you and I like and it’s been muggy the last few days as well, which is a bummer, but comparatively, it’ll be super nice weather!)

  5. Here’s to an relatively simple, non stressful move.

Congrats to The Giant! And I do hope the move goes smoothly. As for us, we are really going to be feeling your absence, both in my area, and online. But, as I’ve said before, I feel grateful we live in a time where we can very easily keep in touch. And, well, I have ALWAYS wanted to visit your new area. Always.

  8. Very exciting! The Pacific Northwest is lovely, I am told, I hope you find the perfect spot to settle with loads of things to do nearby. I look forward to hearing all about the new introverted life when you are able to blog again.
